Changing Standards for Drilling

I am as concerned about drilling aftermath as anyone in NY.

I agree totally with the MontainKeeper's letter to DEC.

I'd like to seek solutions that DEC must address as part of their amendment to NY drilling.

I'd like to see NY be a leader for the highest drilling standards in the US, least they not be a participant at all.

I am for making Operators accountable and for real solutions that can be applied EVERYWHERE, not just the North Slope of Alaska.

Where can I get an online form to make comments to the DEC?

Banning "fracking" in New York State

Am I naive but can the people of New York State ban "fracking" in the State? Can we issue cease and desist orders for any such operations existing in the State? Or is it because they approach individual home owners who need the money that they agree to let them drill on their "property"? We should do everything in our power to discontinue or prevent the use of this process. This is so disheartening. It looks again that the rich giant corporations (Halliburton, et al) can entice families with meager cash offering to poisoin ourselves and the seven generations to come!
