Winter Ice Harvest at Hanford Mills Museum

Come help the Museum fill the Ice House. Try your hand at cutting ice or watch the draft horse team delivering ice on our bobsled. Warm up with great soups, watch historic videos of past ice harvests, see a horse-drawn ice plow at work, and ride on a horse-drawn wagon. Besides soup, there will also be fresh roasted peanuts for sale. This event is a great way to beat cabin fever. Get out in the fresh air, dress warm and plan to spend the whole day. You'll have fun! Hours: 10 am to 4 pm. Admission: Adults: $8.50, Children 12 & under: Free, Members: Free. For more details call: 607-278-5744 or 800-295-4992. Visit: www.hanfordmills.org.
