Renowned expert Stephen J. Small, J.D., LL.M will talk about the options available to keep cherished lands in the family, while minimizing estate taxes. Before going into private practice, Steve was an attorney-advisor in the Office of Chief Counsel of the Internal Revenue Service in Washington, D.C., where he wrote the federal income tax regulations on conservation easements. Each attendee will receive a copy of “Preserving Family Lands” by Stephen Small. Cost for attendees is $10 for members of the Conservancy, $15 for non-members. Registration is required.
